Honda is recalling nearly 99,000 vehicles in the U.S. because of a defect that could cause the airbags to trip unexpectedly during a crash.
The recall affects approximately 98,892 Honda and Acura vehicles between the 2016 and 2026 model years, according to a May 21 notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Federal safety authorities have indicated that a weight sensor in the front passenger seat could crack and short circuit over time.
